Dalia is a radiology major, hoping to specialize in oncology. Her business name is Dalia’s Crafts. She sells handmade jewelry and crochet pieces. She also does commissions for sewing and crocheting projects. Dalia aspires to expand into a non-profit organization that aids individuals with mental and physical health issues.
Her inspiration to start her business began a couple years ago, when her mom had a stroke. During her rehabilitation process, they began making jewelry together. They made so much that they decided to begin selling them. Since then, it’s become their thing to do together. Along the way, she began selling her sewn and crocheted projects along with it. Eventually, she wants to grow her business enough to help people.
Dalia said, "Being at AACC has exposed me to various business related scholarships, events, and organizations such as the Entrepreneurial Studies Institute, the Entrepreneurs (Ratcliffe) Scholarship, and on-campus business events. It has also helped me network with other business owners and entrepreneurs, and market myself and my products to my customer base."
